The Gaslight Tavern has been firmly planted in Kaurna country at 36 Chief Street, Brompton for more than 150 years. Originally called The Brickmakers’ Arms, then Gasworks Hotel, now known as The Gaslight Tavern, the walls have many stories to tell. What you will find at The Gassy is a cold beer, an impressive range of spirits, a specially curated wine selection and food that is absolutely mouth-wateringly delicious!  The Gaslight (aka The Gassy) is renowned as one of Adelaide’s legendary live music locations and for us, it’s all about the music.

The Gassy is an iconic heritage hotel steeped in history with a foundation fair and squarely set in delivering live music and the joy of music to anyone keen to listen. Open Mic Jams on Tuesday and Sunday – Pub Karaoke every second Wednesday, a good smattering of original local artists and live bands most Friday and Saturday nights. You’ll find updates on bands appearing on our Facebook and Instagram pages or on the Gig Guide here.

Recently, Adelaide’s original Tuesday Night Blues Jam, The Blues Lounge, celebrated their 10th birthday. Click here to see some video from that night captured by Adelaide videographer, Jethro Heller for his Channel 44 TV Show Tales of a City.
